Hi! I’m so glad to meet you! My name is Genevieve (JEN-uh-veev), but I also go by Gen (pronounced Jen) if that’s easier for you.

I’ve wanted to be a psychotherapist since I was in high school, but my career took an interesting detour first. I spent years working in hospitals and clinics doing clinical research for cancer and psychiatry (not at the same time!).

I’ve been so lucky to work with all the clients I’ve met up to this point and have been fortunate enough to build strong therapeutic bonds with them. Each person has taught me something valuable about the human experience that helps me to be a better therapist.

I take an integrative approach, which means I use different theories and modalities for different clients, because one size definitely does not fit all.

What works beautifully for one person might not resonate with another, and that’s perfectly okay. Most importantly, the therapeutic relationship between us is what matters most, so I approach our work with a non-judgmental and compassionate lens. We’re all just trying our best to get by in life.

Whether you’re new to therapy or have been before, I’m excited to be part of your journey in any capacity. Therapy is a collaborative effort between both of us – if you’re willing to show up, be vulnerable and do the work, I’m here to help in any way I can. I specialize in working with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, and self-esteem issues, and I’m open to working with people from all walks of life.

If you’re hesitant about starting therapy, that’s completely normal. Every journey is different, but that’s what makes it special. There’s no “right” way to do therapy, and we’ll find what works for you.

Outside of work, I love spending time with friends and family. My hobbies include sewing, tending to my garden, reading, and exploring fashion. Taking long walks while listening to music truly grounds me and helps me show up fully for my clients.
