“People are not passive recipients of their lives; they actively shape them.” — Michael White
This belief is central to how I understand therapy and guides my clinical work.
Hi, I’m Jasmine. My clinical approach is grounded in person-centered theory and humanistic approaches, emphasizing empathy, collaboration, and respect for each client’s lived experience. Informed by the understanding that individuals are active agents in shaping their lives, I work alongside clients to explore the stories they hold about themselves and their experiences, while gently identifying strengths, values, and moments of resilience that may have been overlooked.
As a Bronx-born and raised native New Yorker, I bring an intimate understanding of the community and its cultural, social, and systemic influences into my work. I strive to create a safe, culturally responsive, and nonjudgmental therapeutic space where clients feel empowered to examine their narratives, recognize their agency, and work toward meaningful personal growth and change.
